Q.I hit 6 greens today but missed all the birdie putts. However I chipped in for birdie on two other holes where I had missed the green. If I converted 0 out of 6 birdie chances, why is my Birdie Conversion Ratio 33% ?
A. For Birdie Conversion Ratio, Scoresaver includes birdies where you have missed the green in regulation.
You could easily argue a case that your BCR should be 0% as you missed all your 6 chances. However, we took the view that we should include chip-in birdies in the BCR figure. The exact calculation for BCR is
Birdies (or better) scored divided by Greens In Regulation.
If we did not include chip-in birdies, the BCR for the example round would be 0% despite scoring 2 birdies.
