If you are having problems with the date format in Scoresaver 2 running under Windows 7: do this:

- Run SS2
- Leave SS2 open then go to Control Panel, Regional Settings
- Change the format from the default (e.g. English (United Kingdom) to a different country (e.g. English (South Africa))
- Close SS2 then re-open it.
- Go back to control panel and switch it back to English (UK).

 

This is caused by Windows 7 and Delphi (which Scoresaver 2 is written in) having a small disagreement.

We've only found one problem so far with Scoresaver 2 and Windows 7:

Regardless of your regional settings in Control Panel, SS2 displays the date format in american format (mm/dd/yyyy). We are investigating why this is happening as it is rather strange and will issue a free upgrade as soon as we can

Our policy of issuing  free upgrades to registered owners of Scoresaver 2 has been extended until at least January 2011.

You use Scoresaver 2 to keep your stats but how do you tell your pro or coach about your game ?

Simple - use Scoresaver 2's Pro's reports. These reports can be printed, emailed or export to a PDF so it's easy to keep your pro up-to-date with your golf.

The Pro's reports can be printed from the "Stats Summary" tab on the main Scoresaver screen.

We have always concentrated on developing the best golf analysis software to help you analyse your golf and because of that we haven't concentrated as much as we should have on the part of Scoresaver that people who don't have our golf software see, our website.

Now our new website is here and we are going to concentrate on delivering everything you need while removing anything that doesn't help you analyse your golf and lower your handicap.

Our support forums are being replaced with a more direct support method: you fill in a contact form, we receive your message and respond directly to you and then publish the question and answer in our FAQs.

We will also be updating the news section regularly to include a variety of articles and multimedia content and again this will be focussed on what helps you to use our software to analyse your golf.

We have listened to your feedback and have added the following new features.

Additions To The Stats Summary Page:

1. Scoring Averages - both Gross and Net.
2. Average score per par 3,4 and 5.
3. An option to copy your key stats to the clipboard
4. A breakdown of pars (regulation v scrambled)
5. New Pro’s Reports: “Stats Summary”

Scorecard Entry:

1. When entering a scorecard, default values of par+strokes received are used at each hole and fairway hit for each (non par 3) hole is also set to Yes.
2. Increased the drop-down count of the Description and Weather boxes to 35 items.

Compare Over Time

1. Added new quick links to select all months in the current year and the previous year.

Strokeplay Analysis

1. Competition filter: this is now a pick list which can be overtyped.

Players

1. You can now change a player’s name.
2. Right click the player list of the main screen for player reporting options.
